10 Service Ideas

Here are ten service ideas for your Relief Society to participate in.  Five ideas are for service ideas in the ward and the last five are service ideas for the community.

  1. Assistance at funerals
  2. Bring encouragement, upliftment, and spirituality to the sister’s homes (Visiting Teaching)
  3. Write letters/emails for a sister
  4. Read from a well-loved book
  5. Clean the ward building or just the kitchen
  6. Tie quilts for children sick in hospitals, new mothers, for nursing homes, for LDS Social Services, for Safe Houses, etc.
  7. Hats, socks, gloves, mittens, and scarves for homeless, “project hope”.
  8. Sacks for Santa- sack containing toys hats etc. for children in need.
  9. Families in need in your ward, Christmas.
  10. Cards for elderly and angel cards for ward/branches for Christmas.
  11. Project Sister Share. Different sisters from a different ward/branch receives these cards each year.
