Musical Memories

Contributed by: LA
from our HFPE Group

Musical Memories Theme.

One sister gave a reading of things she remembered about RS both from her perspective and from the perspective of
her mother.
We had old commercials presented in between the programs numbers.  (They were hilarious)  They did the Doublemint Twins, Brylcream, and Fab Detergent.

There were lots of songs presented, quartets and other groups, Old songs of course.

And we did a name that tune game.  Again Old songs were used, but the funny part was that the table of youngest people won the contest.

For invitations they used old 45 rpm records and replaced the labels with the invitations.  (The husband of one of the committee members owns a second hand shop and he got them for them)

We had a nice meal with lots of Jello salads and centerpieces were the old resin grape ornaments everyone made so many years ago in homemaking.  Our RS President's father made a collection of them.  Every time he saw one at a yard sale he bought them.  They were beautiful and brought back so many memories.

It was a really a fun evening.
