Duties of Communications Specialist

1. Attend Sunday Relief Society meeting and Enrichment Meeting (This will keep you informed of items that need to be communicated to the sisters.) 2. Monthly~ hand out ward newsletter to each sister serving in the YW, Primary and the Library. This is usually done on the last Sunday of each month. 3. Monthly~ Attend Enrichment planning night. Make 2 posters and announcements for handouts for the upcoming month’s enrichment meeting. Give them to the Enrichment Counselor for photocopying. 4. Place a poster on each side of the chapel at least 15 minutes prior to the start Sacrament Meeting. After Sunday School, bring one poster and place it at the front of the Relief Society room. Easels are in the library. After Relief Society, take the easels back to the library and place the posters in a RS cupboard (a member of the RS presidency has a key). 4. Hand out thank you cards for the people who assisted in Enrichment. These thank you notes will be prepared by the different Enrichment Committee members as assigned at the planning meeting. 5. Make sure the “Announcement” binder is passed to all sisters in Relief Society on Sunday and there are enough copies of the handouts for the sisters serving in YW, Primary and the Library. 6. Make sure the sisters serving in YW, Primary and the Library are given copies of any handouts from the Sunday lessons. 7. Attend Relief Society board meetings. *For the sisters serving in Primary, please take any handouts to the Primary immediately after sacrament meeting. Give them to the Primary secretary and have her distribute them to the teachers. *For the sisters serving in the library, please take any handouts to them immediately after sacrament meeting. *For the sisters serving in YW, please take any handouts to the YW secretary immediately after Sunday School. Give them to the YW secretary and have her distribute them to the teachers.
