"Purse"onal Relief Society Birthdayby: Erin Rencher
Just wanted to quickly share what we did for the RS Birthday party. We used the PURSE theme. I took a talk about RS from the general authorities and cut it into 25 pieces. I highlighted one word on each piece. I then made a PURSE card (like BINGO) with twenty five blanks..and a FREE Space written in the middle. The highlighted word from each paper was on the top. Each sister got to make her own Purse card by writing the words in any square in any order on the card. They were not to use a word twice and they had one left over because of the FREE space. We passed the purse with the quotes and each sister read the paper, at which time they marked that word on their card.

Purse-onal Enrichment NightBy Bennion from the Sand Creek 2nd Ward
This is just another "add too" idea that I did for the "PURSE"-onal enrichment night. I called it: Our PURSE-suit To Happiness! I used a lot of the other ideas only tweaked it by asking 7 ladies to take 5 minutes or less (and they stuck by it) to talk about the different things that they had in their purse-onal life right now and how the lord has blessed them. One of our Laurels that is in our relief society and going to school brought her backpack and other things. Then a divorcee who is now a newlywed talked about her life changing when she did what she was supposed to and how the Lord had blessed her. Next was a mother with little children and she had decided to stay at home with her kids and not work any longer. She had a diaper bag and talked about all the blessings that she has seen come into her family and herself as a result of staying home. The next speaker was a sister who became an empty nester this year and her husband was put in as our new bishop. She brought her travel bag filled with things she has to occupy her time now: i.e. travel to see her grandkids, piano books to teach lessons, baby quilts that she has been making, scriptures, etc. And finally a senior sister, who is now a temple worker spoke to us. She brought her bag with: her temple recommend, photo/history album she has been making for all her grandchildren, and stuff from her mission that she and her husband served in. I closed by saying that we have a lot of sisters in our ward that have different things in their 'PURSE"-onal lives. Some are half full or empty, and some are overflowing. It doesn't matter where we are, we are all daughters of our Heavenly Father, and he wants us to be happy and to help others be happy. It was a wonderful night.
