Last weekend, had a wonderful Relief Society retreat. We attended a temple session, had dinner at a Chinese buffet and then spent the night at a couple cabins in the mountains- both of whom are owned by sisters in our ward.

Friday night we had a beauty pageant (split into 3 teams) which was hilarious. We dressed our contestants in crazy outfits including old nightgowns and wetsuits. We then had to come up with a team song, talent and speech. It was a lot of fun and a good ice-breaker. Later we played games and had treats...it was a fun night lasting too late.

Saturday was a pancake breakfast, nature walk, craft (wood boards with those vinyl stickers) a motivational speaker and a build your own sandwich for lunch.

The retreat was very well received and hopefully we can do them regularly. There was a lot of bonding and it seemed like Sunday had a different feel to it - more friendly and relaxed.
