Theme: Your Kindness Is A Beacon,
Your Friendship A Lighthouse
Visiting Teaching Conference

Use lighthouses as the theme.
Light dinner could include:
Clam Chowder
Breadsticks
Salad
Relief Society Birthday Cake for dessert
Decorations:
Have tables covered with blue paper
tablecloths. Have angel hair running down the middle with white Christmas
lights. Then set lighthouses and lighthouse pictures down the tables. Use white
napkins.
Make a large lighthouse from
cardboard or poster boards.
Play ocean sounds as background.
Handouts:
A white with the saying, "In A World
of Conflict and trouble....there will be those whose life's pattern will be as a
beacon on a hill, as a lighthouse in a storm." (Bishop H. Burke Peterson) tied
on with three different colored ribbons.
Compile a booklet with quotes from
General Conference and other places. Use an excerpt from "The Beacons of His
Light" By Sister Mary Ellen Smoot at 1997 Women's Conference.
Original idea from Sister Hagwood
